Deborah Kalb is a freelance writer and editor. She spent about two decades working as a journalist in Washington, D.C., for news organizations including Gannett News Service, Congressional Quarterly, U.S. News & World Report, and The Hill, mostly covering Congress and politics. Her book blog, Book Q&As with Deborah Kalb, which she started in 2012, features hundreds of interviews she has conducted with a wide variety of authors.

Other recent titles include Too Hot? Too Cold? Keeping Body Temperature Just Right and A Warmer World: From Polar Bears to Butterflies, How Climate Change Affects Wildlife, A Polar Bear’s World, illustrated with my own cut paper art, now republished as a board book, Wiggle and Waggle, five stories about two hardworking worms, and The Terrible Hodag and the Animal Catchers, a tall tale which won the Parents’ Choice Gold Award are two of my fiction books.
